ETA Application for the UK
Starting April 2, 2025, all Danish citizens – including children – will be required to have an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) to travel to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. The application must be submitted online or via an app. It is recommended to apply well in advance, as there is a processing time for applications.
Always remember to bring a printed copy or a photo of your approved ETA on your smartphone, as airlines must verify that all passengers possess one. It does not always appear in the airline’s systems, so bringing proof can help speed up the check-in process.
Passengers from within the EU/Schengen must apply for an ETA.
Passengers from outside the EU/Schengen must apply for an E-visa.
For more information, please visit the UK government’s website, contact your airline, or reach out to the British embassy. You can apply for your ETA on this website.
