Guest access
Guidelines for issuing guest cards
Who can gain guest access?
Guests, regardless of their purpose, can access the airport’s restricted area on condition that they are accompanied during the entire visit by a person with a valid ID-Card for Billund Airport.
Number of guests
The number of guests must always be sufficient for the number of companions to maintain full control over their guests; one companion may therefore accompany a maximum of 10 people (11-20 guests require two companions, etc.).
An agreement must be made with the Department Manager responsible for the areas where the guests will be guided through. Exceptions include the departure- and arrival halls, and visits for shopping or dining at the Sales Department (Tax-free area).
Visits at Cargo Handling Billund Airport are only possible during their opening hours.
The companion’s responsibilities
The companion is responsible for ensuring that all applicable security- and safety regulations (e.g. hearing protection, vests, etc.) are followed during the entire visit. Companions are only permitted access to the areas listed on their valid ID-Cards for Billund Airport.
Registration of Guest-cards
For guests to gain access to Billund Airport’s restricted area, they must first be registered. This includes providing the necessary information of each guest individually (full name, company name, and date of birth). Hereafter, each guest will receive an approved Guest-card, which must be worn visibly during the entire visit on Airside.
Guest-cards are issued by Security at the main Airport Security Office, Checkpoint Nord, Cargo Handling Billund Airport, and by Operations & Maintenance.
How many times can a guest enter Billund Airport’s restricted area?
A guest may access Billund Airport’s restricted area a maximum of 20 times within 12 months.
Avoid waiting time when collecting Guest-cards
To reduce waiting time, you can send the necessary information of each guest individually (name, company name, and date of birth) in advance to the main Airport Security Office by e-mail at: hovedvagt@bll.dk, or to Checkpoint Nord by e-mail at: cpnord@bll.dk. This ensures that the Guest-cards are ready for collection at the requested time.
When collecting the Guest-cards, each guest must present a valid driver’s license or passport as identification, and the companion must be there as well.
